How to add or switch roles (Lister ↔ Cleaner)
On Bond Back you can be both a Lister (when you need a bond clean) and a Cleaner (when you want to do the cleaning). You can add the other role or switch your active role at any time.
What "roles" mean
- Lister — You create listings, set reserve/Buy Now, and accept a cleaner's bid. You're the one moving out and paying for the clean.
- Cleaner — You browse jobs, place bids or Buy Now, complete the clean, and get paid after the lister approves.
- Active role — The app shows you either the lister dashboard (my listings, my jobs as lister) or the cleaner dashboard (available jobs, my jobs as cleaner). You switch which view you're in; you don't lose the other role.
How to add the other role
- Go to Settings, Profile, or Account (depending on the app).
- Find Roles or Add role.
- If you only have Lister, click Add Cleaner role (or similar). If you only have Cleaner, click Add Lister role.
- Complete any extra profile fields for the new role (e.g. for Cleaner: ABN, travel radius, experience; for Lister: suburb, contact details). Save.
You'll then have both roles and can switch between them.
How to switch your active role
- In Settings, Profile, or the dashboard, find Active role or Switch to Lister / Switch to Cleaner.
- Select Lister or Cleaner. The dashboard and menu will update to show that role's listings and jobs.
- You can switch back anytime. Your data (listings, bids, jobs) for each role is kept separate and is all still there.
Tips
- Australian users — Many people use Bond Back as a lister once per move and as a cleaner regularly. Having both roles in one account is convenient.
- If you don't see "Add role" or "Switch role," check the Help section or contact support — the exact labels may vary slightly by version.
