How to create your first bond cleaning listing
Creating a clear, accurate listing helps cleaners bid fairly and reduces disputes. Here's how to list your bond clean on Bond Back.
Before you start
- Know your move-out date and property address (suburb/postcode).
- Have a few photos of the property (optional but recommended) so cleaners can assess the job.
- Decide whether you want auction (reserve) or Buy Now (see How to set a fair reserve price and auction duration).
Step-by-step
- Go to your dashboard and click Create listing (or go to Listings → New).
- Enter property details:
- Title — e.g. "3-bed house, North Sydney – bond clean"
- Property type — House, unit, apartment, etc.
- Bedrooms and bathrooms — Accurate numbers help cleaners price correctly.
- Suburb and postcode — So cleaners can check travel and availability.
- Add a short description — Mention any special requirements (e.g. carpets, oven, balcony, pest treatment). Tip: Refer to your lease or property manager's checklist so the clean meets their standards.
- Upload photos (optional) — Before shots help cleaners understand the condition and scope.
- Set pricing:
- Reserve price — Minimum you'll accept (in dollars). Cleaners will bid at or above this.
- Buy Now (optional) — Fixed price for instant acceptance.
- Auction duration — How long the listing stays open for bids (e.g. 3–7 days).
- Add move-out date and any special instructions (access, keys, checklist).
- Review and publish — Once live, cleaners can bid or Buy Now.
Tips for a smooth job
- Be honest about condition (e.g. heavy grease, pet hair). Cleaners can then bid accurately.
- Mention if the property manager will do a final inspection and what they check — this is standard for Australian bond returns.
