How to review bids and choose the best cleaner
When cleaners bid on your listing, you see all bids and choose who gets the job. Here's how to compare and pick the best cleaner for your bond clean.
Where to see bids
- Open your listing from the dashboard (or the job page once a bid is accepted).
- You'll see each bid amount, the cleaner's name/profile, and when they bid.
- Messaging is not available while you're still choosing a bid — put must-knows in your listing description. After you accept a bid and pay & start the job (job in progress), job chat opens so you can coordinate access and timing on-platform.
What to consider
- Price — The bid amount (and any add-ons) is what you'll pay (subject to any agreed extras). Don't choose on price alone.
- Profile and reviews — Check the cleaner's profile: experience, suburb, ABN, and any reviews or completed jobs. This matters for bond cleaning quality.
- Profile & bid clarity — Detailed profiles and clear bid notes usually mean smoother coordination once job chat opens (after pay & start).
- Availability — Confirm they can do the clean by your move-out date and that their travel radius includes your property.
How to accept a bid
- Choose the bid you want to accept.
- Click Accept bid (or equivalent) for that cleaner.
- A job is created; payment is held in escrow. The cleaner is notified and can confirm and schedule the clean.
- After pay & start the job (status in progress), job chat opens so you can coordinate access, keys, and timing — keeping the transaction on Bond Back.
Tips
- Australian bond standards — Tell the cleaner if your property manager has a specific checklist (e.g. steam cleaning, oven, windows). Choosing someone who's done similar jobs helps.
- If no bid meets your expectations, you can let the auction end and relist with adjusted reserve or duration, or contact support.
