What is Bond Back and how does it work?

What is Bond Back and how does it work?

Bond Back is a marketplace for end-of-lease (bond) cleaning in Australia. We connect people moving out (listers) with professional cleaners (cleaners) so you can get your bond back with a quality clean, or find local bond cleaning jobs.

    How it works (big picture)

    1. Lister creates a listing — property type, bedrooms, bathrooms, suburb, move-out date, and either a reserve price (minimum they'll accept) or a Buy Now price.
    2. Cleaners see the listing and either place a bid (auction-style) or Buy Now if the lister set that option.
    3. When the lister accepts a bid (or a cleaner buys now), a job is created. Payment is held securely.
    4. The cleaner completes the clean, uploads before/after photos, and marks the job complete.
    5. The lister (or their property manager) checks the property and approves completion. Funds are then released to the cleaner (minus the Service Fee).

    Key concepts

    • Reserve price — The minimum amount the lister will accept. Cleaners bid; the lister chooses the best bid (price, reviews, profile).
    • Buy Now — Optional fixed price. A cleaner can secure the job immediately at that price.
    • Escrow — Your payment is held safely until the lister approves the job. This protects both sides.
    • Disputes — If something goes wrong, either party can open a dispute. Bond Back can help mediate based on photos and messages.

    Why use Bond Back?

    • Listers: Get competitive quotes and vetted cleaners; pay only when you're happy with the result.
    • Cleaners: Find local bond cleaning jobs, set your own bids, and get paid reliably after job approval.

All jobs are focused on Australian bond/end-of-lease cleaning standards that real estate agents and property managers expect.
